#Fashion: The ‘Slicker-Than-Your-Average’ Denim Jacket

Hi loves, how is your week going?

Mine is going pretty fast,  I can’t believe it’s still Monday after spending like three more days since Monday started.

I mean its still 10am on Monday, since the day started. At this time last week Monday it was already Friday, but who am I to complain?. (Edit)

Happy Good Friday!!! Really, in my head today is Friday, Monday has stayed too long, we can as well skip Tuesday - Thursday right? I love my Fry-days - days when I get fries for breakfast or dinner, hopefully today will be one of those days. Who am I decieving? nobody will make fries for me, I'm a bloody bachelor! I'll just get home, take a shower and hug my pillow and wait for another Friday to be upon me... So sorry Lydia, I had to edit your words, you talked about Valentines day being like every other day for you, saying since Valentines day is for celebrating love you believe everyday should be valentines day because love should be shared daily. I totally agree with you, totally!!!

Talking about LOVE, I love me this denim bundle of joy I recently thrifted.
I’ve always wanted similar coats or jackets in black, grey and beige because they look so cute and would be very useful. I guess it’s a fashion bloggers thing though, bloggers can you relate…

You can’t imagine the joy I felt when I came across this denim jacket.  It’s quite longer than normal denim jackets I see around and looks pretty similar to the jackets/coats I was talking about. I didn’t think twice before purchasing this one, and I have no regrets whatsoever buying this jacket.

A very simple way to style up loose-fitted jackets like this is pair it up with a bodycon dress to create a balance.

Although I paired with a pair of nude heels to bring out a very simple but chic look, deep within my heart I know that if I had a pair of white kicks I probably would have preferred to pair it with that for comfort.

There are several ways to style up this denim jacket and this is one,  I’d likely be showing you other ways this type of jackets can be styled later on the blog.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Do you have something similar to this jacket? If you had a denim jacket like this how would you rather style yours? Do leave me a reply in the comment section.

Hey I really appreciate your time, but don’t just scroll off without leaving a comment, it’s like a cherry on the sundae you know! I would really love to hear from you.
With love, Lydia.

How To Make Several Neckpieces With Lace Cords - DIY

Hi, how’s your weekend going?

Over the weeks I’ve discovered a real simple hack or DIY neckpiece(s) that I really love. I’ve been rocking them lately, and getting compliments as well.  I don’t really know if I should call it a DIY or a FASHION HACK since I didn’t really cut or sew or do anything of such.

The amazing thing about this DIY NECKPIECE is that you basically need just two items to make it, and it can serve as 4-5 neckpieces for you.
Now down to what you need…

Here’s What You Need;

  1. Lace cords (Tennis lacings)
  2. Pendants
3. Fancy buttons
Neckpiece 1: Long Neck-piece

You don’t need to do anything special here, just put your pendant on the tennis  lace cord and tie the ends.

Neckpiece 2: Perfect Fit Neckpiece

screenshot_2017-02-04-10-29-40-1.png

Over here it’s almost with the first but in this case, rather than tie it at the end, you tie it at the middle and make a bow with the remaining part of the lace cord (or you can as well leave it like that like I do sometimes).

Neckpiece 3: Tie-Front Choker

I think this is my favorite piece. Its super easy,  just tie the cord on your neck once (its not likely going to go around twice) and make a bow at the front.

Neckpiece 4: Button Choker
Here, you’d use a button in place of a pendant and tie it on your neck as a choker. Like in “Neckpiece 2” you can either leave the remaining cord like that or you tie a bow at the back.

I hope you enjoyed the post, and now you know several ways to use your tennis lace cords as a neck piece.
Whay do you think of this DIY/Hack? And Which neckpiece is your favorite?

Styling: How To Safely And Stylishly Rock Your Lingerie Outside The Bedroom.

Hello, I hope you are having a beautiful week going for you.
Lingeries, and by that I mean underwears and sleepwears are no longer confined to only the bedroom, you can now rock them outdoors, and it’s fast becoming a trend. Hello spring!

IMG_20170322_063216_391
And while I’m still in the process of stepping out of my comfort zone, it took me some guts to actually rock my lingerie outside my bedroom. Initially I got this lovely piece as a sleepwear, but you know, some fashion pieces are just too cute to be left indoors like this one..IMG_20170322_054656_451

What I’m Wearing
Slip Top         – Jane Norman (Thrifted)
Mom’s Jean –  Thrifted
Kimono         –  Random buy
Shoes            – You already know…
Just in case you are wondering what kind of  situations is appropriate for you to wear lingerie out, here are some practical situations where you can actually rock your lingerie outside.
– Hot sunny days; For instance on the day I did this outfit shoot, the sun was so hot and overbearing but the moment I changed into this outfit I felt like I could finally breathe.

IMG_20170322_044236_907

– For Night Outs; Either with the girls or with your mister. Lingeries are always a good way to go, they are often a combination of comfort and sexy.

IMG_20170322_063112_945

– Fashionable Chic Look; Yes, if well styled you can achieve a very fashionable and chic look with your lingerie.
  • Laidback/Casual; Either you want to quickly get something at the mall,  check up on a friend or run errands, lingeries are always choice for the not too serious look.
  • And other situations I forgot to mention.
Here are things to consider before wearing your lingerie outside the bedroom.

1 – Details

IMG_20170322_054215_909

If you are considering rocking your lingerie outside, then you definitely don’t want it to boring and that’s where the details come in. The details could be stones like mine, or lace, embroidery or even something totally different lot more.

2 – Do Some Layering.

IMG_20170322_055244_548

Layering is very important, especially if you are not too comfortable wearing your lingerie alone. You can decide to layer a jacket or a kimono on your lingerie like I did or layer your lingerie like on a shirt or t-shirt.

3 – Keep It Simple.

Girl, you really don’t want to go overboard with this trend, just keep it simple and you’ll be fine. You might need some good courage to rock this trend, so put on your confidence and make the world your runway!

IMG_20170322_051533_896

Ps: It was one hell of a hot sunny day,  you can peep me holding my handkerchief.
So after all read and seen, what do you think about wearing your lingerie outside your bedroom?  And is it a trend you would rock?

As for me it is, but I’d love to hear what you think. Please don’t scroll off without leaving a comment.
With love, Lydia.
Ciao…..
