Pastor Trying To Bomb His Church In Edo, Arrested - Photos

Pastor Abel Eku, who served the Christ Chosen Church of God for 25 years, has been arrested for planting explosives at the headquarters of his church. It was gathered that the Benin-based Pastor planted explosives at the church headquarters on January 22, scheduled to be the day for the church's international conference.

The Pastor who was arrested after the bomb was detected and detonated by security operatives of the Edo State Police command, confessed to committing the crime. He further disclosed that he manufactured and planted the bombs, as a way of revenging his bitter dismissal from the church over marital issues.

The 57-year-old Pastor further told newsmen, that he had a rethink and called the church's officials telling them about the location of the bomb, which he alleged wasn't meant to kill but to scare his church members and elders.

“I am 57 years old. I had marital issues with my wife. We came to the church to resolve it and it was not resolved. It led to my dismissal. I was very bitter about the dismissal. I don’t have the intention of killing people. My action is very bad.”

On how he was made a pastor in the church, Pastor Abel said his parents offered him to the church as a first fruit because of inability to have children. “I was given to the church as a first issue.
My parents were married for many years without any issue, so they vowed at the alter that any first child God gave to them would be given to the church. That was how they gave me to the church" he said.

A new President will emerge in Nigeria soon - Primate Olabayo

The founder of Evangelical Church of Yahweh Worldwide, Primate Theophilus Olabayo, says ``time has come for a new president to emerge in Nigeria.''

``A man of destiny is going to take over in another dimension."

"God told me that the president has done well but his time is up, Aso Rock is vacant, nobody is there. And God told me that he will raise up a man who loves Nigeria to take over," said the Primate.

"It's not going to be business as usual, God is taking over this country, what happened in America is going to happen in Nigeria. New Nigeria will be born. Most of those people who stole our wealth, God told me that they will be exposed wherever they are.

"What God revealed to me is that enemies of this country, enemies that are always putting wrong people there to punish us... God said he has put a lion there, on the seat of the leader of this country, nobody is sitting there.

"And anybody that doesn't love this country, that they want to go all out to fix people there, God will consume them."

Mr. Olabayo's prophecy comes one week after he called for a three-day national fasting and prayer to avert an impending "darkness" hovering over Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari began a 10 working day vacation on January 19, but wrote to extend the leave indefinitely on Feb. 5.

Last week, Mr. Olabayo had commended Buhari, describing him as the only Nigerian leader to confront corruption frontally.

"The president has gone on leave, that's what we were told. He's a human being. Even if he's sick, nothing is wrong for him to tell us as a country to pray for him," the church leader had said.

"Whoever wishes him dead is an enemy of this country because the man has really tried. First time we saw a man who confronted those looters and they are not happy,  They are ganging up against him and throwing missiles against him.''

Six Facts About RCCG's New General Overseer, Pastor Joseph Obayemi

It is no longer news that Pastor Enoch Adejare has stepped down as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Nigeria.
He made the announcement on Saturday, December 7, as his members and all the lovers of the man of God were stunned since they were not expecting such a shocking move by the world renowned leader.
Pastor Adeboye became the GO of the RCCG in 1991 and at age 74 (after more than two decades in the same post), he decided to allow a 'fresh blood' in the frame of Pastor Joseph Obayemi, to take the mantle of leadership from him in Nigeria while he remains the worldwide leader of the ministry.
Meet Pastor Obayemi, the former SA who will succeed Pastor Adeboye as RCCG GO
Pastor Adeboye passes on the mantle of leadership to Pastor Obayemi, who is rather infamous.
Many Nigerians, unlike RCCG members, are not totally conversant with the man who is to now become the new face of the ministry, therefore, we present six solid facts you should know about the man who will now head the church in Nigeria.
1. Pastor Obayemi was picked from Lagos state, as he was the clergyman in charge of Lagos Province 28, Region 2.
2. As one of the prominent ministers of the assembly, he has been one of the decision makers as a member of the governing council of RCCG.
3. He also seems to be a trustworthy fellow to have been picked by Pastor Adeboye as he was a deputy in charge of Finance.
4. The incoming GO also headed the board of governors, House fellowship of the RCCG body.
5. His selection may also have been based on the fact that he was a special assistant to Daddy GO on Finance PICR in the region where he was the pastor.
6. In 2015, he laid the foundation of the place of worship of the province, although it was a temporary site.
Meanwhile, Nigerians are still in shock over the report that Daddy GO has stepped down and made Pastor Obayemi the number one man in RCCG Nigeria.
